About Hazchem and EIP
The Haz-2 bulk storage sign carries the proper shipping name, UN number, Hazchem Code and dangerous goods class label. The Haz-4 carries the Hazchem Code with the class labels you choose, and the Haz-6 carries the word HAZCHEM. The transport Emergency Information Panel carries the proper shipping name, UN number, Hazchem Code and class label, plus a name and phone number for specialist advice.
The Hazchem Code is also known as the Emergency Action Code. Take it, the UN number and the proper shipping name from the safety data sheet for your goods. For a class diamond on its own, see Dangerous Goods Placards.
